Get Picture Perfect Senior Portraits: Why Early Booking is Key!
We usually book out about 3-6 months in advance. Yes… THAT EARLY! WHY?!? Because we like to prepare for your senior session in advance so that it isn’t a hurried thrown together mess the day of your session. So that means if you want a Summer/Fall 2023 session, right now is the time to book it!
1. Better choice of dates!
Did you know that most photographers are booked months in advance? In NJ, on location photography is weather dependent. This means that photographers only have (at most) late spring though fall to get people on their calendars. Plus, the weather can be pretty unpredictable around here! By booking early, you can secure a date that works for you, and if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you’ll still have plenty of time to reschedule before the cold weather sets in.
2. Book your stylists!
Spring, summer and fall are prime time for your hair and makeup stylists to be booked. There are lots of once in a lifetime celebrations that will take up their prime dates such as weddings, graduations, and senior photo sessions! You might want pre session touchups, highlight application or a mani/pedi too. Your stylists often books months in advance! By scheduling early, you’ll have the chance to book your stylist in advance and make sure they’re available on the day of your shoot.

3. More time to shop!
Choosing your date for senior photos ahead of time gives you time to shop! If you are most of my clients you often shop online. It gives access to a wider variety of options that you will find in a store. However, you might need time to send back something that doesn’t fit or the style is not what you were expecting. Or the dress you are coveting just sold out of your size “like yesterday.” Shopping early gives you plenty of time to find outfits that fit both you and your style.

You don’t want this to be a rushed event in your life… take your time, prep for any last minute needs, and have the session of a lifetime!
